ACADEMY POLICIES

DROP-OFF TIME/ATTENDANCE:

Classes begin promptly at their start time. Enter through the main door of the theater and onto the stage. Tardiness not only impacts the progress of the student but the other students as well.

PICK-UP TIME:

Classes end promptly on time. Students will be let out front where parents can pick them up. Please do not be late. Due to company policies and time constraints, teachers are not allowed to wait with your child after class.

DRESS CODE:

Clothing that allows movement is best and the student should feel comfortable to move freely without reservation. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Midriffs are not allowed. No skirts, no dresses, Closed-toed shoes are required. NO SANDALS.

CONDUCT:

The director and other employees do not discriminate based on race, creed, ethnicity, sex, or religion. Students must treat the director and other employees with the highest respect. Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and students will be dismissed from class if behavior becomes an issue. Inappropriate behavior includes: using profane or vulgar language, roughhousing, disrespect toward the director, theft or damage to theater property, and taunts or demeaning terms toward others.

PARENT ATTENDANCE:

We ask that parents drop their children off at the appropriate time and return at the end of class to pick them up. Parents who remain with the class become a disruption to the director and to the students in the class (particularly their own child). Students feel more freedom to express themselves and develop their skills when they are surrounded by a group of their peers.

COVID-19 PROCEDURES:

All students are required to wear a mask at all times until the final performance day (if applicable). The teacher will be checking students' temperatures before each class. If a student has a temp of or above 100.4, unfortunately, that student will be sent home and not able to return to class until feeling better and the fever has subsided. Hand sanitizer will be readily available throughout the class duration. The rehearsal space will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected daily. All props, set pieces, work surfaces, doorknobs, light switches, drinking fountains, or any other highly touched surface will be cleaned and disinfected before and after every rehearsal/performance. Seating for the final performance (if applicable) at the end of the session will be socially distanced between families and masks will be required.
