WHAT: Whether you’re an experienced dancer, or if you’ve never taken a class, this class is for you! For students to gain confidence and progress in their dance ability, it is important to study dance separately from singing and pure acting. In this class, we will focus on learning technique, body awareness and dance styles that are common when performing in musical theater (Broadway, Disney, Cruise ships, etc…). Students will gain confidence in their dance ability, their comfortability when doing a dance audition, as well as learn or review terms helpful for picking up dances quickly. Dance is an integral part of musical theater, and every student deserves to feel confident in their ability as a performer, and this class will help prepare them to land dance roles in local and school productions, as well as continue their training for a professional career if that is something they aspire to attain.
