Jr. High Musical Theater Class

WHAT: In an encouraging and engaging group environment, students will become more skilled and confident as they learn the fundamentals of musical theater and expand on their pre-existing knowledge and talents. Our students will develop and hone a broad range of Musical Theater skills including acting, singing, dancing, character development, theater history, and much more in this semester-long class. Students will have a chance to connect, socialize and create with others as they explore and learn about different genres and styles of Musical Theater through movement, singing and scene work. Students will take part in writing and building a Broadway Revue that will showcase everything they learn in a final performance on the HCTO Main Stage. We will provide students with the tools and skills they need to jump into school productions, collegiate programs, and professional Musical Theater opportunities and beyond!
